Our drivers Alexandre Caetano and Ricardo Meirinhos were the ones driving the MP4 in this race.
The qualify for both drivers were not perfect, but they managed to do some good laptimes, which made them confident for the race.

Posted by Miguel Martin on 20/05/2013Surviving the bumps of this track was the key. Knowing that we had some problems with the Q setup, when we went to qualify, the good news were that with only 35 PRO / WC drivers were present on the Q, so we were already on the race, but anyways we wanted to make a good qualify. João Pinho made the 35th spot on qualify and Miguel Martin the 26th.
At the race, the important part was to survive the first couple of laps. Unfortunately Miguel Martin had a contact with another car, putting him into the pit to change the front wing of his car. After that and with a 1 stop strategy, was a matter of pushing hard and bring the car to the end, which led him into the 17th position.

Posted by Miguel Martin on 20/05/2013This is a track where the laptimes are close than usual, so it was important to make a good lap at the limit, otherwise was difficult to qualify. One more time, João Cardoso, Miguel Martin and João Pinho qualified for the race, but unfortunately Tiago Orfão didn't qualify.
Miguel Martin started from the 26th position, while João Cardoso was in the 30th spot and João Pinho was in 35th.
